Stop the Car Trading Post, located in Silver Gate Montana, is a unique log cabin gift shop/eatery run by Tom and Cheryl Wolfe. It is open year ’round with hours fluctuating based upon the season.  Stop in to see their selection of Montana-made gifts and delicious homemade food, gourmet coffees and teas. Wildlife Along the Rockies Gallery, located in Silver Gate. This wonderful wildlife photographic gallery is located about 1/4 mile east of Silver Gate on Hwy. 212. Owned and operated by Dan and Cindy Hartman, it is a fantastic display of wildlife from our area at very reasonable prices. Dan and Cindy have won several prestigious awards for their photography and it is a stop not to be missed !  Make sure to check out their gallery while visiting!  You can also see and purchase items made by their two artistically gifted daughters at the same time!  The gallery operates out of their log cabin home here in Silver Gate—406-838-2296.

The Cooke City Store, located in Cooke City Montana (3 miles away) is a small grocery/gift shop. Marking its 100th year of general merchandising on March 27, 1986, the Cooke City Store was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The property was judged to be worthy of preservation because it retains excellent historic architectural integrity and is highly unusual as an intact, historically appearing and functioning small town mercantile.
